The Combi Sleeper from Little Company is an patented all year round baby and children’s sleeping bag, devised and developed by parents and experts who were seeking the correct and safest sleepwear for babies and small children up to about four years of age.
Many babies kick off their bed covers at night and sleep beside that cover instead of under it, so the body needs more energy to keep warm and as a result deep sleep is not reached.
The Combi Sleeper consists of two parts, an outer covering of 100% cotton and an inner covering of 100% high-quality cotton ‘fleece’. The Combi Sleeper also has sleeves which can be unzipped. The combination of two parts makes the Combi Sleeper complete sleepwear. Regardless of the season, the Combi Sleeper will keep a baby or child appropriately covered and also eliminate the concern many parents feel that a baby may slip under the cover of a blanket or other bedding and become entangled. Precisely because of this threatening danger the Combi Sleeper has been created!
Frequently asked questions
- What is the advantage of the Combi Sleeper compared to regular bedding?
The wrong bedding results in a bad night’s sleep. If not sufficiently covered up, your baby will need more energy to stay warm, whereby deep sleep does not occur. Your baby will sleep well with regular bedding for the first 2 months. However, after this period, most children become more active in bed, which results in kicking off the blankets or, worse, becoming entangled in the bedding. The Combi Sleeper was devised specifically because of this danger!
- When do you use the Combi Sleeper with the inner lining?
There is no strict rule for this, but to put it simply, your child should sleep with the inner lining and/or sleeves when it feels cold and without the inner lining and sleeves when it feels warm. (This is not necessarily linked to summer- or wintertime.) Each baby is different, therefore take a good look at your baby’s sleeping habits. Sleeping for a long period of time often indicates that the temperature is right for your baby. Should you have any doubts as to whether your baby is warm enough when it is extremely cold, we recommend using the Combi Sleeper with warmer pyjamas or turning the heating up a bit. In any case, do not use any other bedding in combination with the Combi Sleeper.
- How is the Combi Sleeper made?
The Combi Sleeper consists of two parts: a 100% cotton outer bag and a 100% fleece inner bag that can be unzipped and removed. Furthermore, the Combi Sleeper comes with sleeves that can be unzipped and removed. Thanks to the 2 part combination, the Combi Sleeper is all the bedding your baby needs.
- What sizes are available for the Combi Sleeper?
The Combi Sleeper is available in 2 sizes: the 80 cm baby sleeper for babies up to ± 1 year and the 110 cm children’s sleeper for children from 1 through ± 4 years of age. The baby sleeper has an opening for the car seat; therefore, it is ideal for travelling!
- At what age can you start using the Combi Sleeper?
The baby sleeper can be safely used from birth, however, we can imagine that when your baby is still so small, the sleeper looks rather large! Most parents decide to start using the Combi Sleeper when their baby is a few weeks old. The children’s sleeper can be used from the age of 1 year. The difference between the baby and the children’s sleeper is not only the length, but also the cut. The baby sleeper has been designed with a snug fit. The baby clearly feels the Combi Sleeper around him. This is a comforting feeling for a baby. This is sometimes compared to swaddling a baby. On the other hand, the children’s sleeper has been designed with more room The reason for this is that the older baby or child needs to be able to move around easily in bed. It is, therefore, a good idea to follow the recommendation of not using the children’s sleeper until the baby turns 1 year old. Combisleeper
